I have tried learning a bit korean before, but withouth actually trying, so i will be actually starting to practise now.

I made yesterday a  promise to start really trying.. and for now im keeping a blog updated of what i have learned

I’ll just write in Romanisation and english for now..

What i thought i knew:

Annyonghaseyo, yobusejo, tokyo.

hi, phone hi, and something like exuse me.. i wasn’t far away.. (i was a bit lost tho)

but… Now I’m actually gonna learn and use em, I  promised myself.

The words im studying now is:

GREETING & GOODBYE

Annyonghaseyo – Formal Greeting, (older people)

Annyong – Casual Greeting (friends tex Annyong Kata)

Annyonghi gaseyo – Goodbye to the person who is leaving (tex host says to the leaving people)

Jal-ga – Casual Goodbye to leaving  (to friends)

Annyonghi g(y)eseyo – Goodbye to the person who is staying (tex your friend is staying and ur leaving)

Jal it ssoe – Casual Goodbye to the  staying person (the leaving one says to her staying friends)


jeo-neun INSERT_YOUR_NAME imnida – I’m INSERT_YOUR_NAME

Name +Ssi – Mr. Ms. Mrs. (Honorific after name, used with elderly people tex Jenny -ssi)

Cheoeum boepgesseumnida. – Nice to meet you. How do you do?

mannaseó bangap-sumnída – Pleasure to meet you, Nice to meet you, Pleasure to see you.

bangapda –  To be glad to see. To be a pleasure to see.

Gamsahamnida  - Thank You (formal)

Gomapsumnida – Thank you (standard)

Gomawo – Casual/intimate Thanks (friends


Joesong-hamnida – (jesong) Formal I’m sorry

Mianhamnida – (standard) I’m sorry

Mianhae – (Mianhe/Biane) (Friends) I’m sorry
