Had an awesome Birthday weekend thanks to all my amazing friends!!
Friday we went to level 3 in hollywood.
Today i got cake in the park and later to a bbq/birthday party.
The greetings everyone sent from Finland even melted my heart!!
Wednesday 25th of april was my birthday
A Sunny morning turned in to a rainy day as my mood drastically decreased.
But a lovely classmate treated a drink for me in tonys restaurant in malibu and when i finally got home i got a suprice cake from my roommates ![]()
A good ending for the day ~
for a moment i felt loved
This weekend i’ll celebrate a little with my friends too, but for now I’ve gotten older again T_T
When I was sure I was gonna move to Los Angeles my brother told me; I had to go to a ice hockey game there, first i laughed ‘ice hockey under the sun in California’ and then got a lecture about NHL. The conclusion led to be that my brother bought me fifth row ticket to a game, so yesterday i saw LA Kings vs Anaheim Ducks.
That led to a horrible battle within me, I mean i was living now in LA of course I should root for LA Kings, when it even was their home game. But Anaheim Ducks had 2 Finnish players in their team, the awesome Teemu Selänne and Saku Koivu. So to my embarrassment i ended up being seated amongst kings fans, being the only one in my section rooting for Anaheim Ducks. The power of the kings fans to shout mean things to the ducks players was quite overwhelming and overall the game was much more violent than what i was used to, but it terribly editing and fun.
Sadly the Ducks did loose, but this game was still memorable for me. I think i will seriously consider going to another game soon.
But i might add that if any of my friends or even big sisters said they were going to take a bus their not sure where it leaves from home from downtown and still have to walk 25 minutes home from the big road. I would have asked them if they where Crazy and stupid, Yet that was what i did and probably would do again.
Thats all for today
Bye Bye
I’m gonna make a quick diary note, just ramble about whats up? and whats happened.
First stealing a picture from my lovely friends blog
It’s me last week while me and her were taking sun at our yard.
We were neighbours for a half a year or a bit more;
But I’m moving out with my roommate next month.
The house is getting destroyed and I’m anyway graduating next week.
The snow has melted and we have been having in southern Finland really warm and sunny days.
It’s such a huge change, you notice how the capital city has woken up.
The grey winter made everything look so ugly, so this sun is making everything look like diamonds and pearls.
I can’t stop admiring Helsinki now,
the sun has such weird effects.
But I’m already trying for a school on the other side of the Atlantis,
Because this last winter taught me that I might not survive the next one.
Weather affects my mood a lot.

Finland became World Champions in Icehockey this year, it was awesome.
We won Sweden 6-1!!!!!!!!
So ofcourse me and my friends went to Lejonien Kultajuhlat (Lions Goldenparty)
A lot of finnish artist performed and the icehockey team came on stage.
I had my gold leaf white wine for a drink.
After that me and Kata went even out to a baar, fun night~
But yeah I didn’t have time to search for a summer job early enough and when i started i noticed most of them had been taken.
I’m on many peoples list as next choice now if someone gets sick.
Then again i have a lot of paperwork to do before fall if i get to the school i want to.
I hope everything goes good, i hope for a sunny summer and everything else awesome
xoxo

SO i wont go to detail but ‘half’ of my favorite band might be going to the army next year wich mean thei’ll be gone 2 years..
Last year i travelled to see them in Los Angeles(awesome place) and I’m considering on traveling to see this next tour too.
I know their having a stop in New York and probably in their home country a huge concert too.
I might be traveling alone again, which I’m okay with too.
But i cant decide if I should go to New York or Seoul?
The upp and down sides:
New York
+I can speak english
+The band will speak english
+ I will see the big Apple
+ cheaper to fly there
Seoul
- My korean is lacking ( as in i only started to learn full time yesterday ^^;)
- Might be a blond alone traveling Foreigner
+ I get to experience a real asian country
+Authentic show (they say their concerts in Seoul are the best)
I know New York has more good point’s, but the Good point’s Seoul has overwins them.
I’m legally an adult in Finland and can go out drinking but in USA I’m still a minor (which sucked in LA), but in korea i will be a adult too!
Ï get to taste soju and hite beer.
But I’m just afraid of rasism, I know there can be alot in Korea as I’m a tall(really tall) caucasian girl.
I don’t know anyone in the city either… …But honestly I’m a survivor so i’d manage.
I think New York is a safer choice, but Seoul is a more fun option.
But any thought’s on whats a better idea?

I was just thinking 5 minutes ago that i should start beeing a better friend, then i stumbled in to some things tha got my annoyans ticking. I’m really not good at this long term friendships, theres so many stupid rules. You might say you dont say any rules, but thats the point all the rules are silent agreements. Just something you should instinktivly follow.
Friendship, far from comfort, are often long years of resentment, with brief breaks for dancing
- Eva Wiseman for Elle UK
Yet there are days when you just can’t live withouth friend, becouse you need someone to share your joy and sadness. But Humans are bitter ones succes is the other ones loss and even if it didn’t affect us in any way we are still jealous creatures. Were stuck on this stupid ride down hill and we never really get up again.
It takes a lot of friendships to survive, I’m not talking about a couple yearfs old friendships becouse honestly they can break in a minute of time and usually they’re already poisoned from the inside. were just so blody scared of beein lonely. I envy friendships that last decades, becouse they’ve found a perfect pace to walk on.
We might love our friends but honestly i think we all hate them, because somewhere a long the line will come a second when you wish you guys never became friends.

Happy X-mas!! It’s a day of traditions.
Every country has it’s own ways of spending christmas with a mix of the american dream.
I’m from Finland so christmas is all about too much snow and cold weather, make snowman’s and snow angels. Christmas trees and Santa coming already on the evening of 24th December.
It was so weird visiting Los Angeles last month and seeing palm trees and christmas decoration. The most abstract thing in my mind.

Finnish people think that Santa is from Finland or from Lapland to be more accurate. (northern part of Finland)
We have Korvatunturi a vacation place where santa lives in Rovaniemi, it’s know that even Victoria and David Beckham have been there.
I love christmas really much not because of the gifts but because it brings the family together in a celebration; We eat, talk and laugh.
