So I’m going to a party this Saturday and they have a dresscode ‘wear something russian’.
i get that most of the quests are gonna be russians as the host but me as a finnish person is utterly confused what to wear.
My thought’s about russian fashion go something like this:
It’s not that I might not like it, but i haven’t had a reason to think about russian fashion.
The only thing i do dream of is russy valenki shoes, that i saw on a fashion blog once.
I have never been to Russia even thought i live next to it and my thoughts about their fashion come from seeing russianss in Finland.
I’m afraid that whatever i wear will hurt someones feeling..
So I’m thinking of just dressing up after a babuska and putting a scarf on my head as my friend, but that seems so booring.
I really need some advice on this matter. Because i can’t wait to go and make yummy pelmeni at the party!

after doubting every dress i could come up with i convinced my friend that she should dress up as cheburashka and me as Gena

it didnt take long to make that outfit but it was fun..
..Everyone else seemed to have dressed up as babushka
